Wrapping it up
As social media users we need to understand that our content is the first thing people will see when viewing our sites. We need to be sure that we not using a blog or any other social media site for negative reasons, but to get others involved and to expand our friends list. We can all learn from each other, and what better way to do so with a centralized site where we can view all the linked content we are interested in. Learn from each other, and take what we have learned and use it for positive reasons. Thank you for checking out my site!

Unit 7 Podcasting
Podcasting is a great way to get a short, meaningful message out to your audience about a subject you have experience in and want to share what you have learned with others. They should be planned according to your knowledge base, with clear and pronounced words. There is nothing more embarrassing than filling a 2-3 minutes voice over with a lot of "ums" and "uhs" because if you don't feel comfortable talking about it, your listeners will not feel comfortable listening to it. I have chosen "Discuss social media, describing how individuals can use these digital tools to advance their careers or reputations" and have targeted High school teenagers and young adults beginning their careers as younger crowds need to be sure they are using social media for the right reasons. Electronics are everywhere making it easy for people to capture your more... embarrassing moments and promote them online.

Where do I start???
Many computer users are just not technologically savvy and just don't know where to begin when it comes to the health of their computers. Have you ever purchased a computer form Best Buy or some other retail store, and were asked if you wanted the store to take out the software that may not be needed? And did you tell them, "No that's OK." and set it up at home yourself? This is a common practice because lets face it, its just THAT much more money you will spend on the purchase because of the additional service.
When you feel your computer is in need of some major fine tuning, you must first spend some time with it and really take note of where and when the sluggishness is happening. You don't want to just rush in and turn everything off or start deleting stuff you may not understand. The first step is to start a list of things you want to take a look at. When you first log into your computer, does it take forever for the desktop to settle it's loading so you can take control and do whatever you need to do? This is important, as there may be services or programs on the start up that can be turned off to save time. You don't always need EVERYTHING to start when windows loads at start up. Generally everything you need, you can start yourself, when YOU want it. Start your computer, take some notes, get a better understanding of what is going on during loading. More to come on this subject in my next post...
New to Blogging
Hello World! I have created this Blog as a project for my CM313 course and will be updating it throughout the duration and maybe more. I am an IT Major at Kaplan University and have been working in this field for a very long time. I have been able to see some awesome transitions in technologies throughout the years and try to do my best to stay on the same page as the new electronics come out. I have only recently began to Twitter and Blog so this will be a great way to get things rolling. My main focus is to lend a hand to those that are not as computer savvy as they would like to be, and help with simple operations that may help the health of their computers. Computers are just like a vehicle, in the sense that you have to take care of them in order for them to stay operational for a long time. If you don't clean it physically it could get gunked up and perform very sluggishly. The same can be said if you do not clean it digitally. I will elaborate on this in my next post...
